After suffering humiliating exit from the KSCA Invitation Tournament at Bangalore yesterday, Orissa cricket team has a chance to redeem its prestige by performing well in the Buchi Babu All-India Tournament to be held at Chennai from August 16 to 29.
Placed in the four-team group ‘D’, Orissa will first meet Kerala in the opening round on August 16 and 17. Their next two matches come up against Hyderabad (August 19 and 20) and Saurashtra (August 22 and 23). The top team of the group will advance to the semifinals.
The senior selection committee of Orissa Cricket Association will meet at Cuttack tomorrow to finalise the state team.
